Joan McIntosh
Parenting Coach, with Healing Thine Hearts has served in several positions over the course of her 35 plus years of experience as an educator. She has served as an Academic Specialist/Section 504 Coordinator, Behavior Specialist, National Training Consultant for The Imagination Station and Voyager Expanded Learning, Forney ISD High School Assistant Principal, and Dallas ISD Central Office Administration for Special Education to name a few.
Joan’s formal education and certifications are the results of two degrees, and a LifeCore Therapy Certification. She holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix, she received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Speech Pathology from Southern Methodist University, she is a trained Counseling | Coaching, as well as hands-on experience working with families.
As a Parenting Coach, McIntosh understands this vital role in helping parents navigate the complexities of raising children. Her expertise provides guidance, support, and practical strategies to address various parenting challenges. Whether it's managing behavior issues, fostering healthy communication, or promoting positive development, a parenting coach offers personalized advice tailored to each family's unique needs.
McIntosh is the parent of two wonderful adult children. She loves spending time with family and friends! She enjoys traveling , and encouraging people she encounters to be your authentic self! She is passionate about building and strengthening family relationships utilizing practical parenting strategies that worked for her! McIntosh is a dedicated, committed, and driven professional who is passionate and purposeful in building family relationships!
